How to Build a Little Free Library

August 3 @ 12:00 pm 5:00 pm CDT

Share those books you‘ve read! Keep them circulating and spread the joy of a little free library.

We’ve always wanted to make a little free library but found it rather intimidating — so many styles! How do you get it to stay upright? How far down does that stake need to go?

Don’t worry—we’ll show you how to build a little free library together. We’ll measure and cut pieces, assemble, and make the door. You’ll go home with a paint—or stain-ready little free library for your yard.

If you want to learn how to use power tools, take the morning class first!

This class has limited seats so we can work closely with you.

You will learn:

  • Tools and safety
  • Joining wood with screws
  • Making a door with hinges and a simple latch
  • How to use wood glue, wood screws, and dowels
  • How to install hardware
  • How to install in your yard.

Supplies Needed:

All supplies for the class will be provided for you, including safety gear.

Class policies and cancellation.
