Drywall 2: Repair, Mudding, Sanding, & Finishing!
October 28 @ 9:30 am – 11:30 am CDT

Let it snow! Also fix your walls, bruh.
No one wants to live with a doorknob-sized hole in a wall. Or a basketball-sized one, or any size! There are tricks to repairing drywall without buying anything expensive and we’ll show them all to you.
If you’ve taken Drywall 1, you know that the magic of drywall is in the finishing: the second and skim coats of our beloved joint compound (or mud if you’re an OG drywaller) will make or break your walls. Well, they won’t break, but if this part isn’t done right, you’ll definitely be able to see it.
In this intermediate drywall class, we’ll sand and prep the walls you hung in drywall 101 to prepare them for paint or wallpaper. We’re also going to fix NEW holes. Wear old clothes! We’re going to sand a LOT.
Please take the first drywall class before this one!
You will learn:
- The tools you need to do the best job
- Even more about joint compound
- finishing corners, walls, ceilings, etc.
- Sanding techniques and how not to make a total mess
- Repairing varying-sized holes and dents
Supplies Needed:
All supplies for the class will be provided for you, including safety gear.
